The plots below show the performance of Clarity air quality measurement equipment as compared to reference-grade air pollution monitors. Results for both Global and Collocation-Based Collocation are shown, when applicable.
Calibration is included free of charge as part of Clarity's Sensing-as-a-Service offering — we calibrate all air quality sensor data on behalf of our customers. After Onboarding, Clarity customers have the option to choose between pre-calibration using the Global Calibrations or Collocation-Based Collocation, as illustrated by the graphic below.
We are committed to transparency and scientific integrity, and recognize that air quality data performance specifications should reflect real-world conditions rather than idealized scenarios — that's why all of our performance results are for long-term collocations, rather than selectively showcasing only the best outcomes for short-term collocations, as is often the case in our industry.
Multi-Gas
Module
The Clarity Multi-Gas Module expands the capabilities of the Node-S, enabling real-time measurement of CO, O₃, NO₂, NO, and NOx — five key pollutants that impact air quality and public health.
Node-S
The self-powered Clarity Node-S air sensor measures PM₂.₅ and NO₂ — and serves as a platform for all other Clarity modules.
Black Carbon
The Black Carbon Module enables you to differentiate PM from natural sources from fossil fuel combustion sources like vehicles, helping apportion pollution to known local emitters.
Ozone Module
The Clarity FEM Ozone Module is based on best-in-class technology from 2B Technologies, and provides accurate measurements of ozone in air over a wide dynamic range extending from a few parts-per-billion by volume (ppb) to an upper limit of 100 parts-per-million (ppm) based on the well-established technique of absorption of ultraviolet light at 254 nm.

No separate software purchase. No add-on warranties. No unexpected expenses.
With one upfront service, we’re giving you the affordability, flexibility, and autonomy to eliminate all of your air quality blind spots.
Self-powered Clarity Node-S air quality monitoring hardware measures PM2.5 and NO2 and serves as a platform for additional modules that measure Wind, Black Carbon, and Ozone.
